NaLa’s Story: Left Broken on the Roadside

Late one evening, our team received a call about a dog lying motionless on the side of the road. When we arrived, what we saw broke our hearts. It was NaLa, a sweet black dog who had just been struck by a car and left behind without help.

NaLa’s back leg was twisted at an unnatural angle, bleeding heavily. X-rays at the clinic later confirmed our worst fears: multiple broken bones. She was in shock, whimpering softly, her eyes wide with pain and fear. Whoever hit her didn’t stop. They just drove away, leaving her to suffer alone in the dark.

We rushed her to the emergency veterinary hospital. The doctors immediately began stabilizing her with IV fluids and strong pain relief. Her leg was swollen, fractured in several places, and would require surgery to repair. Without urgent care, infection and blood loss could have taken her life.

NaLa is now under round-the-clock medical supervision. She has already undergone her first procedures, but her road to recovery is long. She will need surgery, weeks of rehabilitation, and careful monitoring to learn how to walk again.

This sweet girl did not deserve this. NaLa’s life nearly ended on that cold roadside, but we refused to let that be her story. Now, we need your help to give her a future.
